Do you have any joints that regularly crack or pop with movement or positional changes? So do I! The advice that I give my patients with this popping is pretty straight forward. If the popping you’re feeling is not painful than we won’t worry about it too much. But I do find occasionally that the popping will decrease as movement patterns improve and if we allow for the appropriate muscles to do the jobs they are designed for. A lot of times we will also notice that the cracking or popping in the knee, shoulder, ankle, etc. will decrease with repetition. If your form is good, and appropriate muscles are being used, and assuming the popping isn’t painful, set the worry aside and keep working!
